Nick and Paul
Dear Birth Parent,
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us! We respect you for considering adoption and are ready to dedicate our lives to raising your child. We hope that this introduction gives you a sense of how much we want to welcome a child into our family and provide them with a life filled with fun experiences, support and love. We deeply respect the relationship with their birth mother and hope that this is the beginning of a relationship that is beneficial for everyone.
OUR LIVES
We both moved to Los Angeles shortly after graduating college and began dating in 2005. It only took a couple of months to know that we wanted to be together for the rest of our lives. We have been by each other’s side as we continue to navigate careers in the entertainment industry. Today, we are proud of the fact that we are both in fulfilling jobs that make us happy and provide financial stability. We got married in 2011, and have worked hard to establish homes in LA and nearby Palm Springs. One of the many things we have in common is the importance of friends and family and we cherish the supportive community that surrounds us. We particularly love the fact that our parents have become friends, even visiting each other once a year without us there! They support us in everything we do, especially this adoption journey.
OUR HOME
We live in Los Angeles, CA in the Mid-City area surrounded by great museums, playgrounds, hiking trails and other fun things to do. We have a big backyard with plenty of room to run and play and a bedroom ready to become a nursery. Our neighborhood is quiet, diverse and full of families with small children. On the weekends, we love taking long walks with our dog, Emmy to our favorite donut shop and exploring all that Los Angeles has to offer. We also own a condo in Palm Springs, which we frequently visit for quiet time in the desert exploring the mountains, swimming in the pool and relaxing with friends and family.
ABOUT NICK (BY PAUL)
Nick is the most disciplined and compassionate person I know. He applies himself to everything he sets his mind to and it inspires me to make the most of every day. He’s endlessly supportive of my goals and my biggest cheerleader. He’s a deeply creative thinker who takes a casual weekend and turns it into a fulfilling adventure with lots of little surprises throughout. When I think of him as a father, I know that our child will have an unconditional ally who will listen and care deeply about their needs before his own.
ABOUT PAUL (BY NICK)
Paul is smart, creative, and a great listener. Best of all, his wonderful sense of humor makes me laugh every single day and is a constant reminder that life should be as fun as possible. I admire that his friends and family are of utmost importance to him, and it’s not uncommon to find him handcrafting gifts to give to others simply to brighten their day. I love watching him hang out with our nieces and nephews, because I can clearly see what a playful and caring dad he will be!
OUR FAMILY
In LA, we have a network made up of family and friends, most of whom are parents to young children. Nothing makes us happier than having them over for barbecues and movie nights. We have family in Boston and Florida and many friends across the country and have enjoyed many memorable vacations visiting them all. In total, we have four nieces and four nephews, three of whom are only a thirty minute drive away (Owen & Curtis, 4 & Henley, 18 months) and we see multiple times a month.

A MESSAGE TO YOU
Hopefully you have an understanding of who we are as a couple and why we want to be parents. We’d love to tell you even more. We can’t wait to welcome a little person into our lives. But before that, we can’t wait to meet you.
